知春是以桃优良品系87-7-1作母本、以从美国引进的油桃早熟品种早红2号作父本杂交育成的桃观赏鲜食兼用新品种。花朵粉色,重瓣,花冠大,4月中旬开花,花期持续10～12天;果实近圆形,稍扁;平均单果重255.2 g,最大单果重290.0 g;果面鲜红色至玫瑰红色;半黏核,果肉乳白色,硬溶质,有香气,风味浓甜,鲜食品质优;可溶性固形物含量10.00%～11.20%;在北京市,果实7月中下旬成熟。2009年通过北京市林木品种审定委员会审定。
