April 1, the newly revised “Zhejiang Province Forest Cutting Law” (Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government Order No. 320) came into effect. On April 3, the forum on deepening the reform of collective forest rights in the province was held in Longquan. Lan Xiaoguang, Chief Engineer of Provincial Forestry Department, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Provincial forestry bureaus throughout the province, 18 model counties for the reform of collective forest rights system, and the director in charge of relevant forestry bureaus of counties (cities, districts) attended the meeting.
