保山测候所开始观测民国三十年一月至三月份云南保山测候所于二十九年冬季开始筹备,旋于省立师范学校洽商借用场坪一方作为该所之观测场地,观测人员由大理测候所代为训练,业于三十年元旦开始观测。雅安测候所增加夜班观测气象研究所以雅安邻接康藏高原,地位重要,爰于三十年元旦起于该所增夜班观测,藉以探究该处天气之日变化。昌都测候所元旦成立气象研究所为推展西康气象事业,复着手筹设昌都测候所一处,以康俗币制与内地迥异,筹备伊始,颇费时日,幸赖蒙藏委员会等机关之多方协助,拨借房屋
