全国政协常委、中国机械工业联合会会长于珍明确提出,2008年机械工业的主要任务是:“加快转变经济发展方式,加强自主创新能力建设,加大节能降耗减排工作力度,努力推动产业结构优化升级,大力推进专业化协作和产业集聚,促进企业做强做大,加快发展现代制造服务业,加速重大技术装备国产化,继续加强机械工业支持‘三农’工作,进一步扩大对外开放、提高机械工业开放型经济水平,加快向机械制造强国迈进的步伐。”
