The beautiful Cambodian girl Somolima was sold as a sexual slave from childhood. At the age of 18, a French volunteer saved her from the brink of life and death and gave her respect and love. Within a decade, Somolima, risking his life, has struggled to save nearly 3,000 poor prostitutes from all over South-East Asia and to rejuvenate them. As a result, Somo Molima was hailed as the hero and saint by the international community. In November 2006, she was voted as the most influential and outstanding woman in the world by American magazine Charm magazine.
