历史留下一道道文化风景线,每一条河每一座亭都有自己的姓名。太仓古海宁禅寺旧址旁有座墨妙亭,古朴典雅,古石古栏古亭,引发人的思古幽情。中国有两座墨妙亭。《辞源》记载:一在浙江湖州府署内,宋熙宁五年吴兴太守孙莘所建,收藏境内自汉以来古文遗刻。二在江苏太仓城北淮云寺中,顾信建,贮有赵孟手书刻石和历代书画,为当时文人会聚之所。如今太仓墨妙亭是移址重建,吸取元时建筑艺术风格,由京、沪、宁三处著名古建筑家和画家合议设计图纸,成为独具一格的仿古精品。亭内后壁中镶嵌着赵孟頫手书勒
