电讯业是世界上竞争最激烈的领域,也是前景最激动人心的一个行业。电讯业利润丰厚,地位重要,即便是一向以自由市场经济自称的美国,对于电讯业也有着十分严格的管制措施。但是随着电讯业的迅猛发展,美国各界取消管制的呼声日益高涨。1996年初,经过长期的讨价还价,美国总统克林顿签署了万众瞩目的1996年电讯法案,全面取消了美国政府对电讯市场的种种管制,从而引发了美国电讯市场空前浩大的调整。
The telecommunications industry is the most competitive in the world and one of the most exciting sectors in the world. The lucrative and important position of the telecommunications industry is that even the United States, which has always claimed itself as a free market economy, has very strict control over the telecommunications industry. However, with the rapid development of the telecommunications industry, the voice of all sectors of the U.S. government to deregulate has been on the rise. In early 1996, after prolonged bargaining, U.S. President Bill Clinton signed the much-anticipated 1996 Telecommunications Act, which completely canceled the U.S. government’s control of the telecommunications market. As a result, the telecommunications market in the United States has been unprecedentedly adjusted.
