The Geophysical Prospecting Work Conference in 1960 was held in Beijing from February 24 to March 5. At the meeting, Song Ying and Xu Jie, two vice ministers made an important instruction. Deputy Director Zhang Ren of Geophysical Bureau made a report on the summary of geophysical work in 1959 and the direction and tasks for 1960. After discussion, the delegates unanimously agreed with the instructions of Vice Minister Song and Vice Minister Zhou and the report of Vice Premier Zhou. Based on these instructions and reports, the meeting summed up the geophysical work of 1959 and set guidelines for the course in 1960.
