广西贺州市音乐家协会成立于2003年11月9日,现有会员78人,其中广西音乐家协会会员28人。贺州市音乐家协会成立以来,在贺州市委、市政府和市文联的领导下,在广西音协、《歌海》杂志社及社会各界的关心和支持下,致力于开拓贺州音乐文化事业的新局面,团结务实,组织了“五保村歌曲创作”活动、儿童歌曲创作活动,举办“广西小音乐家歌唱技能竞赛贺州选拔赛”、“贺州市少年儿童获全区全国文艺金奖展演会”等歌曲创作及文艺演出活动。为配合贺州市委、市政府在实施六项民心工程,特别是在五保村建设中取得的成就进行宣传,贺州市音协组织创作了一组五保村歌曲,现选登几首奉献给那些关爱孤寡老人,关心弱势群体的人们。——编者
