近几年来,郊县生产队办小工业有一定发展。到1985年底约有15%左右的生产队办起了3,760个小工厂(场),有务工社员83,000多人,完成年产值38,000万元,实现利润约7,300万元,平均每个企业的产值、利润分别为10.1万元和1.93万元。其中,川沙县年产值最高,为12,800万元;年产值在4,000-6,000万元的有上海、南汇、青浦、崇明县;年产值在1,500～3,500万元的有宝山、嘉定县;年产值在1,000万元左右的有松江、奉贤、金山县。
