在科学技术迅速发展的今天,提高科技期刊的利用率对技术图书馆来说尤为重要。在这方面,我馆采取了一些措施。一、做好读者服务工作平常,我们除主动热情接待到馆读者、解答咨询、开办馆际借阅服务项目外,还本着“保证重点,区别服务”的原则,密切配合所里的重点科研项目,适当放宽期刊的外借数量,并及时催还重点服务对象需要和预约的期刊,以保证重点科研项目顺利进行。二、加强期刊管理我馆现有中、外文现刊420余种,其中中文期刊260余种,外文期刊160余种。在期刊管理方面我们采取:①对新到馆的中、外文期刊先分别登记、整理,然后陈列在期刊阅览室内供读者自由阅览。②增加现刊外借服务项目,给无时间到馆阅览的读者提供方便,这在一定程度上也提高了期刊的利用率。③
