林木种子园是以生产具有优良品质(播种品质、遗传品质)并能实现稳产和经济效益较高的种子基地。因此,它与选林相比,不仅要有基本适于林木生长的立地条件,而且要有适于林木开花结实的生理、生态环境。所以,林木种子园建设对于环境条件的要求更为严格。 当前,我国林木种子园种子产量低而不稳,经济效益不高,虽与经营管理有关,但园址选择不当,布局不够合理,多数种子园规模偏大,也是影响其效益的主要因素。因此,对于种子园建设中的几个主要问题,需要进一步研究。
