1984年10月14日(星期日)上午《化学世界》编辑委员会举行了会议。主任委员王箴教授,副主任委员于同隐教授、琚定一教授都出席了会议。在报告1983～1984年上半年的编辑、出版和财务情况后提出了1985年的打算,并请到会委员多提意见。《化学世界》现在是交流生产经验、报导科研成果、介绍新知识为四个现代化服务的化学化工专业月刊。所载的文章要求实用性强、应用面广、普及性大。会议确定刊物的内容配合国家建设的需要,1984年增加“专题讲座”专栏,美国化学会的《化学文摘》经常摘录本刊文章,国内外看到文摘而
On Sunday, October 14, 1984, the Chemical World Board of Editors held a meeting. Professor Wang Zhen, chairman of the committee, vice chairman Yu Tong-fu, Professor Ding a professor attended the meeting. After reporting on the editorial, publishing and financial affairs of the first half of 1983 to 1984, he proposed the plan for 1985 and invited more members to attend the meeting.
