习语所含内容甚广,通常又可包括成语、俗语、格言、歇后语、谚语、俚语等等。习语翻译本身就是“在接受语中寻找和原习语信息尽可能贴近、自然的对等话语,首先是意义上的对等,其次才是风格上的对等”。在这一点上,又恰好与奈达的功能对等理论所强调的意义优先原则不谋而合。其理论在指导习语翻译过程中发挥着不容小觑的作用。 Idioms contain a wide range of content, usually including idioms, idioms, aphorisms, gossips, proverbs, slang and so on.
