Theater Command and Control Information Management System (TACCIMS) was established for the United States and South Korea Joint Forces Command and reached a total contract value of US $ 25.6 million by March 1989. The theater’s automated command and control information management system was installed in the South North Korea’s command posts and elsewhere designed to be a comprehensive system of information processing, communications, display, message handling and information translation subsystems in English and Korean. The system translates messages in the syntax of each language Rather than simply providing words in English and Korean equivalent to English and Korean.
