According to a recent report by Nature, a report on scientific education and culture commissioned by the European Commission and written by J. Salamon, a faculty member at the University of Oxford, urged not long ago that the EU should provide its member states with funding for science education, Minimum standards for equipment and staffing. The report suggests that the EU follow the model of the Eureka program of transnational high-tech cooperation and promote science literacy in an all-round way through the cooperation of teachers, educational experts and museums in the European countries and the industrial sector.
