科学家认为,安静环境或将成为治疗痴呆症、抑郁症的有效方式,改善这些患者大脑中神经元减少、不活跃的问题。当人们不被外界噪音所打扰、情绪较为平和时,思考问题会更为深刻,同时也更有想象力,收集和分析信息的速度会大大提高。噪音可导致大脑中应激激素水平升高,长期如此,内心世界也会难以平静,从而导致体内“压力荷尔蒙”处于较高水平,不利于身心健康。相反,安静有利于人们缓解压力和紧张。
