在发现O139菌株之前,霍乱的流行和大流行只与霍乱弧菌O_1群有关。非O_1群霍乱弧菌被认为是自发或局部爆发的腹泻病病因,偶尔与侵入性肠外感染有关,但与霍乱流行从无关系。
Prior to the discovery of the O139 strain, the prevalence and the pandemic of cholera were only related to the V_1 group of V. cholerae. Vibrio cholera non-O_1 group is considered to be the cause of spontaneous or local outbreak of diarrhea occasionally associated with invasive parenteral infection, but not with the prevalence of cholera.
