中国科学院武汉岩土力学研究所创办于1958年,是中国科学院内唯一从事岩土力学应用基础研究和具有强烈工程应用为特征的综合性研究机构,下设岩土力学室、岩体动力学、土力学和土动力等研究室。 四十多年来,岩土力学研究所通过开展岩土介质的力学基本性质、本构关系、流受特征、工程特性等综合研究,成功地解决了许多国家基本建设项目中的重大问题。并先后对我国20多个省市自治区的重大岩土工程课题开展研究,取得了巨大的社会效益
Wuhan Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences was founded in 1958, is the only Chinese Academy of Sciences in geotechnical mechanics applied to the basic research and has a strong engineering application for the characteristics of a comprehensive research institutes, under the rock and soil mechanics room, rock mass dynamics, Soil mechanics and soil dynamics and other laboratories. For more than 40 years, the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics succeeded in solving major problems in many national capital construction projects through the comprehensive study of the basic mechanics, constitutive relations, flow characteristics, and engineering characteristics of geotechnical media.
