以姜黄水提液和含姜黄醇提取物血清作用于培养的牛主动脉平滑肌细胞，用MTT法观察姜黄水提液和含姜黄醇提取物血清对牛主动脉平滑肌细胞增殖的抑制情况；以酶联免疫吸附分析法检测低密度脂蛋白（LDL）受体的相对数目，观察姜黄水提液和含姜黄醇提取物血清对LDL受体数目的调控作用。研究发现姜黄水提液和含姜黄醇提取物血清均能抑制10％牛血清促进的牛主动脉平滑肌细胞增殖和增加LDL受体的数目。
The turmeric aqueous extract and turmeric-containing extract serum were used to act on the cultured bovine aortic smooth muscle cells. The inhibition of the proliferation of bovine aortic smooth muscle cells by turmeric extracts and curcumin-containing extract serum was observed by MTT assay; The relative number of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptors was measured by immunosorbent assay, and the regulative effects of turmeric aqueous extracts and curcumin-containing extracts on the number of LDL receptors were observed. Studies have found that turmeric aqueous extracts and curcumin-containing extracts can inhibit 10% bovine serum-promoted bovine aortic smooth muscle cell proliferation and increase the number of LDL receptors.
