新钢1号、2号高炉容积255m3,冶炼高炉锰铁。2002年2月,因7号600m3高炉炉缸突然烧穿,公司决定1号高炉转炼生铁,以弥补生铁的不足。2003年下半年,随着公司的发展和市场形势的变化,公司决定1号、2号高炉同时停炉大修,扩容改造为生铁高炉。11月31日,11月25日两炉分别停炉拆除,进行扩容改造。扩容改造工程由北京钢铁设计研究总院负责设计。计划在2004年3月底或4月初送风出铁。现将新钢锰铁高炉大修扩容改造情况做一简要介绍。
