四川大学是教育部直属的全国重点综合型大学,是国家“211工程”和部省共建学校。是由原国家教委直属的原四川大学、原成都科技大学和卫生部直属的原华西医科大学在1994年、2000年先后经过两次并校改革后建立的新型综合型大学。在两次并校改革中,原3所重点名校的成人教育学院、职业技术学院、继续教育学院也先后合并,成为四川大学成人教育(职业技术、继续教育)学院。
Sichuan University is directly under the Ministry of Education, a national key university, is a national “211 Project ” and ministries to build schools. It is a new comprehensive university established by the former Sichuan University under the former State Education Commission, the former Chengdu University of Science and Technology and the former Huaxi Medical University directly under the Ministry of Health in 1994 and 2000 respectively. In the two concurrent reforms, the adult education institutes, the vocational technical colleges and the continuing education institutes of the three key prestigious universities also merged successively to become the adult education (vocational and continuing education) college of Sichuan University.
