Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a new approach to the treatment of tumors. The authors report a group of primary and secondary liver cancers that cannot be radically treated with RFA. From May 1995 to May 1998, RFA was used for 35 cases of liver cancer patients who could not undergo radical resection. The patient’s age ranged from 19 to 83 (mean 54) years and included 8 cases of primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
