垦东12平台井组位于济阳坳陷垦东凸起垦东12断鼻构造上第三系构造高部位,是胜利油田重点开发的海油陆采区块,更是胜利油田增储上产的重点施工项目。这些井普遍具有井浅、目的层疏松、定向点靠上、井斜位移大等特点,尤其是井径扩大率难以控制。通过从优选钻头,优化钻具结构,科学调整钻井参数,优化钻井液体系,设计使用海水MEG钻井液体系施工,机械钻速明显提高,取得了很好的经济效益。
