1995年以来,人社部会同科技部、教育部、财政部、发改委、自然科学基金会、中国科协组织实施了旨在培养造就中青年学术技术带头人的“百千万人才工程”。截至2010年底,共选拔培养4100多名杰出的科学家和学术技术领军人才,在国家重大科研项目攻关和重点工程建设中发挥了重要作用。
