Proposition I. Randy Babbitt is the 16th director of the Federal Aviation Administration. After taking office in 2009, he launched a system of reward-reward-rewarding pilots, mechanics, ground commanders, etc. who promptly reported the mistakes they made at work and waived the punishment that would have been imposed on them (Except those causing crashes and deliberate defections). As soon as the policy was proposed, it was opposed by many other high-profile individuals who, in their view, encouraged not only mistakes but also a substantial increase in expenditures. However, Babbitt firmly believes that the system of “reward reward” will enable aviation employees to gain and wake up from the mistakes of their peers and reduce the accident rate, and the bonuses paid will certainly be far lower than none
