新中国成立前后,一批爱国华侨青年冲破家庭和地域的阻隔。辗转回到祖国,积极投身于建设祖国的热潮中,蔡健予(原名蔡明华)女士就是其中的一位。她17岁随家人迁居新加坡,1949年离家赴香港,后到北京学习、工作,1957年调至福建省侨务办公室,现已离休。离家32年后,她终于回到了日夜思念的妈妈身边,可是年老健忘的妈妈竟然不能认识自已的女儿。
Before and after the founding of new China, a group of patriotic overseas Chinese youths broke through the barriers of families and regions. After she returned to her motherland and actively engaged in the upsurge of building the motherland, Ms. Tsai (formerly known as Tsai Ming-wah) was one of them. She moved to Singapore at age 17 with her family. After leaving Hong Kong for home in 1949, she moved to Beijing to study and work. In 1957, she was transferred to the office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of Fujian Province and has now retired. After leaving home for 32 years, she finally returned to her mother who missed day and night, but her old and forgetful mother could not even know her own daughter.
