小平同志南巡讲话后中国掀起了深化改革开放的大潮,而党的十四大胜利召开则标志着我国经济发展和改革进入了一个新的历史阶段。为适应当前经济理论研究和实践发展的需要,南开大学经济学院于1992年10月8日举行了“社会主义市场经济理论与实践研讨会”。参加研讨会的人员有:中共天津市委宣传部、南开大学党委宣传部、天津日报社理论部、南开大学教务处和马列部、天津社科院、天津师大、天津财院、天津外贸学院、《南开学报》、《南开经济研究》、《理论与现代化》等单位的专家学者,以及本院的教师和博士生、硕士生等。研讨会由经济学院院长谷书堂教授主持,主要讨论了三个方面的问题:一、现代市场经济的本质;二、市场经济与经济体制的目标模式;三、如何加速培育和发展市场经济新体制。现将部分发言按问题分别摘要如下:
After Comrade Xiaoping's southern tour speech, China launched a wave of deepening reform and opening up. The victory of the 14th National Congress of the CPC marks a new historical stage in China's economic development and reform. In order to meet the needs of current economic theory research and practical development, Nankai University School of Economics held “Symposium on Theory and Practice of Socialist Market Economy” on October 8, 1992. The participants were: Propaganda Department of CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, Propaganda Department of Party Committee of Nankai University, Theory Department of Tianjin Daily, Nantong Academic Office and Marxism-Leninism Department, Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences, Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin Finance Institute, Tianjin Institute of Foreign Trade, “Nankai Journal”, “Nankai Economic Research”, “theory and modernization” and other units of experts and scholars, as well as the hospital's teachers and doctoral students, master's degree and so on. The seminar was presided over by Professor Gu Shutang, dean of the School of Economics. The seminar mainly discussed three aspects: First, the essence of modern market economy; second, the target model of market economy and economic system; and third, how to speed up the cultivation and development of a new market economy system .
