广西农科院基因库是我国建成的第一座具有现代技术设备的农作物品种资源低温干燥贮藏库。该库自1981年11月建成使用,至今已运行10年,先后贮藏各类农林种子30多万份,存放时间最长的水稻、玉米、花生和大豆种子已历时10年多,至今发芽仍达95%以上。该库主要用于贮藏本院的农作物品种资源。但近几年来,我区部分林业局、林场等要求提供对外服务。根据本库的贮藏能力,共贮藏杉木、马尾松、湿地松
Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences gene bank is built in China’s first modern technology and equipment of crop varieties of low-temperature dry storage of resources. The library has been put into use since November 1981 and has been in operation for 10 years. It has stored more than 300,000 kinds of various kinds of agricultural and forestry seeds, and the rice, corn, peanut and soybean seeds which have been stored for a maximum of 10 years have been sprouted up to now above 95.
