“21青年跃进号钻机”在党的正确领导下，他们掌握了政治挂帅的这条真理，树立了当家作主的思想，贯彻了群众路线的工作方法，在生产大跃进的浪潮中，特别是通过全民性的整风运动，全机同志发挥了社会主义积极性和创造性，虚心的学习了兄弟钻机的先进经验，不断的得到全队职工和当地农民兄弟的支持，因而走到了全国钻探生产的最前列。在57年全面完成国家计划的基础上，继今年三月份台月效率突破千米后，四月份又创造了月进效率2017公尺的全国最高纪录，于5月4日由共青团安徽省委授名为“21青年跃进号钻机”。他们之所以能跃进到全国钻探生产的最前列，有如下的几个基本经验：
