Objective To understand the prevalence and etiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease in Datong and provide basis for prevention and control of hand-foot-mouth disease. Methods The data of case, foot and mouth disease were analyzed by descriptive method based on the incidence, composition ratio, sex and age. Results A total of 812 HFMD cases were reported in 2013, with a reported incidence of 24.40 per 100 000 population, down 96.70% from 46.53 per 100 000 in 2012. The age of onset was mainly children under 5 years old, accounting for 83.37% of the total cases. Men The incidence was 28.21 / 100000, higher than that of female (20.47 / 100000). The ratio of male to female incidence was 1.38:1. The higher incidence season was summer and autumn, the peak incidence was from June to August, accounting for the annual number of cases 65.14%; the proportion of scattered children (61.95%) was higher than that of childcare children (31.03%). In 2013, the etiopathogenisis of hand-foot-mouth disease in Datong City showed that the proportion of CVA16 was 65.94% and that of other enterovirus On EV71 (2.90%). Conclusion The incidence of hand-foot-and-mouth disease in Datong City has obvious differences in age, sex, season and occupation. To take targeted prevention and control measures for key populations is the key to controlling the epidemic and reducing the severity of cases and deaths. Pathogenic surveillance should be further strengthened, To deepen the understanding of foot and mouth disease and risk assessment and prevention and control work to provide data support.
