1957年原地质部西藏地质局煤田地质队,靳毓贵等首先在江孜以东地区进行了侏罗、白垩系剖面测量和化石采集工作,并由他本人做了化石的初步鉴定和地层的划分。1962年在孙云铸教授指导下,作者对此化石又作了重新鉴定和描述,并对地层划分和对比提出了初步意见。之后西藏地质局、中国科学院等单位又多次在该区工作,对地层做了进一步的划分,并提出了修改意见。1976—1977年中国地质科学院地质所西藏地质工作组和西藏
In 1957, the Geological Team of the Tibetan Geological Bureau of the former Ministry of Geology, Jin Yugui and others first conducted the Jurassic and Cretaceous section surveys and fossil collection in the area east of Gyangze. By himself, he made preliminary identification of fossils and stratigraphic division. Under the guidance of Professor Sun Yunzhu in 1962, the author has re-appraised and described the fossil, and put forward preliminary opinions on stratigraphic division and comparison.
