电磁振动器是工业中广泛应用的、最简单的定向起振器之一。可是电磁起振器的振动频率是50赫或100赫,而且振动的最大加速度由于弹性元件的强度而被分别限定为2.10~2和8.10~2米/秒~2。为了得到与上述不同的振动频率,不得不使振动器本身的结构或电源设备的结构(双轴惯性振动器、电动振动器、可控硅工业变频器等)复杂化。详细拟制的磁力机械起振器方案(苏联发明证书1018720)可以得到0~1000赫范围内定向振动的任何频率,且振动频率超过150赫时其加速度可达(1~5)·10~3米/秒~2。
