2012年5月30日,世界500强企业之一的美国卡特彼勒公司为第一拖拉机股份有限公司锻造厂颁发了2011年度“优秀供应商”铭牌,一拖锻造厂经过10年的努力,跻身卡特彼勒世界范围内的“优秀供应商”之列。一拖锻造厂在与卡特彼勒公司合作中,不断调整产品结构、提高管理方式,为卡特彼勒公司位于世界各地的分公司按时按量提供高质量的链轮、半轴和前轴臂等零件,用于挖掘机和平地机等机械的生产。一拖锻造为卡特彼勒公司提供的产品从最初的1个品种上升到如今的62个品种,产值从140万元升至5000余万元。
