黔南州位于贵州南部,具有气候条件较好,旱地面积大,作物种类多的特点。旱地作物中玉米是最主要的作物,种植面积及产量仅决于水稻,居第二位。广大农民群众十分重视玉米生产,历来就有玉米间套大豆、红苕、花生及其它作物的习惯。目前我州种植的玉米地方品种及杂交组合虽较多,但从品种类型、植株形态及经济性状等,都难适应间套作及双高产要求。
Qiannan Prefecture is located in southern Guizhou, with good climatic conditions, dry land area, crop varieties and more features. Maize is the most important crop in dryland crops, and its planting area and output are only determined by rice, ranking the second place. The masses of peasants attach great importance to the production of corn and have traditionally had the habit of planting soybeans, red beans, peanuts and other crops among corn. At present, there are many local varieties and hybrid combinations of maize planted in our country, but it is hard to adapt the intercropping and double-yielding requirements from the types of cultivars, plant morphology and economic traits.
