Where industrialization has made older people isolated, where should they stand in today’s electronic age? In less than 20 years from 1975 to 1993, the number of Americans over the age of 65 living with adult children increased from Eighteen percent down to 10 percent, a decrease of half. Undoubtedly, there are many reasons for this. These include the improvement in the health status of the elderly in the United States and the increasing number of families who have two or more people engaged in work.
