各省(区、市)老促会第六次会长座谈会后,中国老区建设促进会将会议情况向中央写了报告。中央政治局委员、国务院副总理温家宝作了批示。2000年11月3日国务院扶贫开发领导小组办公室加按语转发了会议情况报告,肯定了老促会的工作,要求各地继续对老区工作给予支持。这是对中国老促会和各地老促会的关心和鼓励。国务院扶贫办的通知说:
