道琼斯公司(Dow Jones & Co.Inc.,DJ)在香港出版的、已有58年历史的亚洲英文周刊《远东经济评论》(FarEastern Economic Review)由于经营不善,从11月4日起改为月刊。《远东经济评论》过去6年一直在亏本经营,业内人士认为,是该杂志的编辑方针出了问题,失去了高端读者,才导致了今天的局面。《远东经济评论》和《华尔街日报》、《亚洲华尔街日报》并列为道琼斯旗下三家主要平面媒体。在20世纪60年代中期到90年代初的鼎盛时代,《远东经济评论》曾被公认为亚洲最有影响、最权威的国际性新闻期刊之一。
The 58-year history of the Asian English weekly FarEastern Economic Review, published in Hong Kong by Dow Jones & Co.Inc., Was changed from monthly on November 4 due to poor management. .
