This article presents a method for designing a robust servo predictive controller for a discrete-time, time-invariant system with a reference input that is the output of a linearly-free system called a reference system. Suppose that the controller can make use of predictive information relative to all states of the reference system in units of time from the present moment to the next time. The optimal predictive control problem can be formulated as minimizing the quadratic performance indicator over an infinite period of time. It can be seen that this controller can be designed under certain conditions, in which case the reference system will have some unstable modes, so that it is always possible to design the controller for a reference input like a multi-ceiling sinusoidal reference input, These reference inputs are very important in actual use. In addition, the paper proves that the best performance index of the designed control system is the only one evaluated. In this paper, an example is given to show that the predictive effect can improve the performance of the controller system.
