改革开放20多年来,厦门市的经济建设取得了巨大的成就,人民生活水平得到了很大的提高,外资在厦门经济建设过程中一直起着非常重要的作用。但是,近年来,厦门经济增长速度有所下降,吸引外资的比例也有所下降,厦门的经济发展面临着严峻的挑战。厦门市需要继续大力利用外资进行自身的经济建设,而要充分利用外资就要进一步改善环境,尤其是投资软环境,建立宽松公平的经济环境,提高政府部门的行政效率,创造开放进取的社会文化氛围,从而使厦门重新取得竞争优势,使厦门经济得到更快发展。
