Popularity is dwindling, the old Chinese gradually leave the world, new overseas Chinese do not want to come. Chinatown reduced the number of Chinese in many European and American cities. In New York, Boston and Chinatown in Philadelphia, residents born abroad are already a minority. Although the white population as a whole has dropped in major cities in the United States, the number of white residents in the three Chinatown cities is on the rise. The functions of Chinatown are also changing. The original Chinatown was a shelter for Chinese, and today Chinatown, thanks to the shops’ signature, language, grocery store and restaurant flavors, is different from the rest of the European and American cities, most of which means a tourist attraction with a different subculture.
