语言对于人类文明的传承与发展具有非常重要的意义,从文化角度来讲,语言亦是一种文化现象,而且每种文化现象都有其存在的文化背景,所以说,语言与文化二者之间是相互依存的关系,正是由于这种相互依存的关系,在对文化作品进行英文翻译或是汉语翻译时,必须要注重一定的文化性,因为中西文化毕竟是存在一定的差异的,包括语言文化之间不同、中西方价值观的不同以及非语言交际的文化的不同,所以译者在进行作品翻译的时候,要尊重两种文化的差异,能够使用相关的英汉翻译方法。本文从(1)中西文化在价值观方面的差异与翻译之间的关系;(2)非言语交际的文化的不同与翻译之间的关系;(3)外来文化与翻译之间的关系等方面对文化差异视角下英汉翻译策略进行了分析与研究。
