科布多买卖城的兴起科布多位于阿尔泰山东麓今蒙古国境内,是一座草原历史名城。早在11—13世纪,居住在阿尔泰山一带的乃蛮部落就先后归附辽金王朝,与中原建立了密切的政治、经济、文化联系。元朝设立了称海宣慰司,管辖科布多地区并签发部分中原军民前往屯垦。到了清代,中央政府对科布多的管辖进一步加强。1731年,清靖边大将军傅尔丹驻屯科布多,正式修筑了科布多城,即旧城。1762年,清政府设立科布多参赞大臣后,因旧城屡遭战争及水灾破坏,毁损严重,在旧城以南的布彦图河谷另选城址,建立新城,这就是科布多的官衙区。后来随着商业的发展,科布多又出现了一座商业城——买卖城。这样,买卖城加上原有的官衙区,一座典型的草原商业城市便形成了。
