克罗地亚社民党是克罗地亚最大的左翼政党。因坚持社会民主主义的价值取向、倡导“亲欧”的外交政策,这一政党在克罗地亚诸多政党中独树一帜。克罗地亚社民党的演变分为两个阶段。2000年之前,受前南斯拉夫解体和地区战乱的影响,社民党所提倡的欧洲主义淹没在民族主义的思潮中,影响有限。2000年以后,随着地区战乱结束和图季曼去世,社民党取代民主联盟上台并得以推进其欧洲主义的主张,从而开启了克罗地亚加入欧盟的进程。但是,受民族主义干扰、自身局限以及民主联盟政策调整等因素影响,克罗地亚社民党进入了与民主联盟轮流执政的阶段。
Croatian Social Democratic Party is the largest left-wing political party in Croatia. In adhering to the social democratic value orientation and advocating “pro-European” foreign policy, this party is unique among many Croatian political parties. The evolution of Croatian Social Democratic Party is divided into two phases. Before 2000, under the influence of the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia and the war in the region, the socialism advocated by the Socialist Democrats was submerged in the nationalist ideological trend with limited impact. After 2000, with the end of the war in the region and the death of Tudjman, the Social Democratic Party replaced the democratic coalition and promoted its European doctrine, thus opening the process of Croatia’s accession to the European Union. However, under the influence of nationalism, its own limitations and the policy adjustments of the Democratic Union, the Social Democratic Party of Croatia entered a stage of ruling with the democratic coalition.
