1989年12月2日至3日,美国总统布什和苏联领导人戈尔巴乔夫,在地中海岛国马耳他的马萨什洛克港船上举行“非正式”会晤。“不事张扬”也有2000多名记者采访这次会晤是布什上台后同戈尔巴乔夫的第一次聚首,又是在战后国际形势发生巨大而又深刻变化的背景下举行的,自然引起国际新闻界的关注。新华社也不例外,莫斯科分社首席记者唐修哲和笔者有幸参加了这次采访。
From December 2 to December 3, 1989, U.S. President Bush and Soviet leader Gorbachev held an “informal” meeting on board the ship in Massax Lockheed, Malta, the Mediterranean island nation.
