离退休干部是我矿干部队伍的重要组成部分,怎样做好离退休干部思想政治工作是离退休职工管理工作的核心内容,山西焦煤西山煤电西曲矿作为建成投产近30年的老矿井,离退休职工多并有以下特点:一是党员多,党员干部占离退休职工总数的90%。二是平均党龄长,其中党龄最长的为30年。三是原任领导多,有不少人曾担任过科级以上领导。四是人员分布分散,离退休职工遍布矿区各住宅小区,另有从领导岗位退下来的部分离退休干部居住在离矿区较远的前山矿区,给具体管理工作
