北电推出的Magellan(麦哲伦)是多媒体宽带系列产品,包括Magellan Passport系列、Magellan Vector系列以及Magellan Concorde。 Magellan多优先级系统(MPS)是一种综合性业务管理系统,它可在节点、网络及网络工程等不同级别上操作,受到所有Magellan系列产品的支持。 综合的多业务企业网和业务运营网的发展越来越受到市场的关注,这种网络可将语音、视频、图像以及计算机数据通信合并到单一网络。非语音通信的高速发展、新多媒体应用的出现以及网络综合化所带来的成本显著下降使这种网络备受关注。企业和业务运营网的普遍发展方向是向ATM网络演变,见图1。
Magellan (Magellan) from Nortel is a multimedia broadband portfolio that includes the Magellan Passport line, the Magellan Vector line and the Magellan Concorde. Magellan Multi-Priority System (MPS) is a comprehensive business management system that operates at different levels of node, network, and network engineering and is supported by all Magellan family of products. Growing attention is being given to the development of integrated multiservice enterprise networks and business operating networks that combine voice, video, imaging, and computer data communications into a single network. The rapid growth of non-voice communications, the advent of new multimedia applications, and the significant cost reduction associated with network integration have drawn such attention. The general trend of business and business operations networks evolves toward ATM networks, as shown in Figure 1.
