《黔之驴》第二节的第二个层次,课本标点为:“然往来视之,觉无异能者;益习其声,又近出前后,终不敢搏。稍近,益狎,荡倚冲冒。”按这样的标点方法,似乎表示转折意义的“然”字一直贯到“终不敢搏”。实际上“然”字只贯到“觉无异能者”,其后的分号应改为句号,表明到此句意已经完整。为什么要这样改呢?我们可以研究一下整个第二节作者叙事的层次:先写虎闻驴鸣而“甚恐”,到“习其声”但“不敢搏”,以至“益狎”试探挑衅,最后看出驴技已穷因而大胆噬食的过程。上述层次正
