十多年来,中学的语文教学工作进行了一系列的改革,并取得了可喜的成果。但总的看来,“学生的语文水平仍然不高。不少中学毕业生说话条理不清,词不达意,满口方言,缺乏基本的写作能力,连常用的应用文也写不好”。出现这种不正常的状况,原因固然是多方面的,但我认为中小学语文教学中“背诵”一环没有认真抓好,落到实处,恐怕是一个不容忽视的原因,也是语文教学应该引起注意
