1981年,在全国27个产棉县的109个田间试验及84个示范片的试验结果指出:棉花施硼可增加单株铃数、单铃重和衣分,平均每亩增产皮棉13.6斤,增产率11.95%。施肥方法可以作种肥、亩期追肥,或现蕾后叶面喷施3—5次。一般每亩施硼砂0.8—1.0斤。根据1227个棉田土样分析,平均含有效硼0.35PPM,95%以上的土样有效硼均低于0.8PPM,试验结果还表明,我们过去提出的以有效硼0.8PPM作为土壤潜在性缺硼的田间植株诊断指标是有效的。
